Spring Recess

SPRING RECESS 2026 Saturday, March 14 through Sunday, March 22

These shuttles are to provide Transportation to Area Airports for Spring Recess.  Reservations are required.

The Transportation Store is now open!  Reserve your Spring Recess and End of School Year Train and Airport Shuttle Seats, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.      The deadline to reserve for Spring Recess is 4:00 PM Wed, Feb 25.                           The last day to reserve for End of School Year is Wed, May 6.

Cost to reserve an Early Bird seat is $45.00.

 Cash purchases may be made in person at Transportation Services, B&G Room 107, Monday through Thursday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Friday, March 13

Area Airports: JFK, LaGuardia, & Albany depart @ 11:00 AM ***Reservations Required
 
Rhinecliff Station (Amtrak) and Poughkeepsie Station (Metro-North and Amtrak) ***Reservations Required
 
Depending on weather and traffic, travel to Rhinecliff Station takes 20 to 25 minutes.  Travel to Poughkeepsie takes 60 to 70 minutes.  Plan your train times accordingly.
 
A Tonche Transit Yellow or White School Bus will drop off and pick up passengers at Rhinecliff Station on Hutton Street, and drop off and pickup passengers at the Poughkeepsie Station Taxi Stand/Bus Horseshoe off the main lobby.
 
All Northbound passengers will be dropped at Kline Bus Stop.

ROUTE C BUS  &  DUTCHESS COUNTY PUBLIC TRANSIT

Monday-Saturday -Bard Students, Staff, and Faculty are encouraged to use the Dutchess County Public Transit Route C Bus.  Thanks to our partnership with DCPT, the ride is always free on any route when you show your valid Bard College ID.

No DCPT Bus Service on New Year’s Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.
